Hon. Prof. Dr. Katharina Kiss is the Chief Executive Officer of P&F Products & Features GmbH, a medical technology company she co-founded in 2004. With over 25 years as a medical professional and executive, Dr. Kiss leads the research, development, and manufacturing of innovative minimal invasive cardiac devices such as percutaneous heart valves and drug-eluting stents while maintaining her role as a practicing cardiologist.
Dr. Kiss graduated from the Medical University Vienna, Austria in 1996. She completed her specialty training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the Vienna General Hospital and the Hietzing Hospital, both in Vienna. During a sabbatical in 2002, she completed specialist training in Cardiac MRI at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, the United Kingdom’s most renowned cardiopulmonary hospital.
As CEO of P&F, Dr. Kiss oversees all business operations while driving innovation in minimally invasive cardiovascular solutions. Her leadership has been instrumental in developing breakthrough medical technologies for patients at high risk or unsuitable for open-heart surgery. Under her direction, P&F has successfully guided multiple devices from concept to market access.
Dr. Kiss continues consulting with patients as an independent specialist in a multidisciplinary private practice encompassing internal medicine, cardiology, and angiology. Her commitment to patient care, particularly her work with patients from Eastern Europe and Central Asian countries, earned her the distinguished title of Honorary Professor of Medicine from the University of Astana, Kazakhstan.
Throughout her career, Dr. Kiss has demonstrated expertise in clinical and interventional cardiology, medical device technology, research and development, regulatory affairs, strategic planning, and business development. Her international experience spans Asia-Pacific, Europe, North and Latin America, and the Middle East, where she has built lasting relationships with healthcare providers, research institutions, and industry partners. Dr. Kiss is fluent in English, German, and French, bringing a global perspective to patient care and medical device innovation.
